Artist Statement

'My paintings depict objects found in second-hand shops. I'm drawn to their quiet stories - items that have been discarded, but not quite thrown ouy altogether, I wonder who owned them and how they ended up here. Through my paint I explore themes of memory, nostalgia and the links people share across time with the acts of finding, keeping and giving away.'
